Ted Goldthorpe

Partner, Head of BC Partners Credit

Ted Goldthorpe is a Partner and the Head of BC Partners Credit.

Ted joined BCP Credit in New York in 2017 to lead BCP Credit. Previously, Ted was President at Apollo Investment Corporation and the Chief Investment Officer of Apollo Investment Management where he was the head of its US Opportunistic Platform and also oversaw the Private Origination business, serving as a member of the Senior Management Committee. Prior to Apollo, he worked at Goldman Sachs for 13 years where he most recently ran the bank loan distressed investing desk. He was previously the head of Principal Capital Investing for the Special Situations Group.

Education

Ted holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University.

Henry Wang

Managing Director

Henry Wang joined BCP Credit in New York in 2017. Henry joined BC Partners Credit, having formerly been a Partner at Stonerise Capital Partners where he spent over five years. Previously, he worked for over seven years at Goldman Sachs in its Special Situations Group and Investment Banking Division. Henry also worked for Vulcan Capital (Paul Allen’s investment firm, co-founder of Microsoft) and Thomas Weisel Partners.

Education

Henry holds a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a degree from Boston University.

Matthias Ederer

Managing Director

Matthias Ederer joined BCP Credit in New York in 2017. Matthias joined as part of the creation of BC Partners Credit having previously been a partner and founding team member of Wingspan Investment Management, which he joined in 2013. Prior to Wingspan, he spent seven years in Goldman Sachs’ Special Situations Group and Bank Loan Distressed Investing Group in New York and London.

Education

Matthias has an MPhil in Economics from Oxford University and a BSc Economics from the University of Warwick.

Michael Terwilliger

Portfolio Manager

Michael Terwilliger serves as the Portfolio Manager for the Alternative Credit Income Fund, charged with the day to day management of the fund. He has nearly two decades of credit investment experience, with expertise in a range of products including high yield bonds, distressed debt, structured securities, bank loans and convertibles. Prior to joining BC Partners, Mr. Terwilliger was employed by Resource America, Inc. Mr. Terwilliger also was an officer of Resource Alternative Advisor, LLC, most recently as Managing Director. From February 2012 until October 2015, Mr. Terwilliger was a Senior Credit Analyst at Shenkman Capital, a prominent institutional credit manager focused on non-investment grade products. At Shenkman, he primarily managed investments in the Retail and Food & Beverage sectors, with total exposure in excess of $1.2bn.

Previously, Mr. Terwilliger worked as a High Yield Research Analyst at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch (BAML). In 2010 and 2011, Institutional Investor recognized Mr. Terwilliger with a #2 ranking in its annual All-America Fixed-Income Research Team for his coverage of the General Manufacturing sector and a #3 ranking in 2011 for his work in the Business Services industries. Before BAML, he was part of the Distressed Debt and Special Situations effort at Friedman Billings Ramsey & Co. (FBR). In the course of his career, Mr. Terwilliger has covered a wide range of industries, including Cable, Media & Entertainment, Building Products and Energy. Mr. Terwilliger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Virginia Darden School Of Business. He is also a CFA charter holder.
